We are looking for women who are passionate about supporting other women and want to make a real, tangible difference in their community.
As a mentor, you are paired with a girl aged 13 to 20 in a children's home or community centre near you. You meet with her once a week for eight weeks, guided by our structured programme and the materials we provide. You help her identify what she cares about, what she wants to pursue, and the concrete steps to get there.
This is not abstract. You are sitting with someone, working through real questions, and connecting her to real opportunities. By the end of the programme, she has a plan, she has taken her first step, and she has you.
You garner real experience in mentorship and community work, and you get the chance to genuinely make a difference in someone's life. That is what this is about.
One session per week for eight weeks. Each session is approximately 60 to 90 minutes. A small commitment that creates a lasting impact.
For our programme in Sri Lanka, you will communicate with the Her Future Today team in English. With your mentee, you can speak in Sinhala, Tamil, or English, depending on what she is most comfortable with.
Before you begin, we run a training session with you (approximately one hour) to walk through the programme, the materials, and what to expect. We support you throughout.
A Certificate of Completion from Her Future Today, real mentorship experience, and the knowledge that you directly helped shape someone's future.
We are building a founding cohort of 5 to 10 mentors. This is a selective programme for women who care deeply about this work.
Selected applicants will be contacted within one week. The programme begins within the next month.
